Every now and then I wander out unattended, guitar in hand, and without the blessed support of my brethren in the Horseshoe Crabs, Peter Jackson and Paul Sherman. (You can read more about those guys by clicking right HERE.)
The song below is “Adrift” – first conceived during a jam at a Horseshoe Crab practice a couple of years ago. Here it’s just me and my trusty Taylor DN3 at the Working Waterfront Festival on 9/29/13, trying to capture the feel of heading offshore, having it breeze up … and eventually, come around nor’west and flatten back out. (Sorry to spoil the ending – but it should be obvious I made it back alright.)
Many thanks to Laura Orleans and the Working Waterfront Festival folks down in New Bedford, MA for furnishing this audio file – and for their hospitality during the event.
And, as always, much love to Harvey and Mac at K2 Music in Camden, ME. They did some emergency surgery on the Taylor just before the WWF weekend … and she came through feeling better than ever. You guys are sumpin’ else.
