My Brian Robbins Facebook page is an “author’s page” – considered a business page by Facebook, with yours truly being the page administrator.
Facebook now requires page administrators to PAY to promote status updates to fans who already like a page. So, there’s ransom involved: many people are missing posts and only about 10% (or less) of the folks who like this page receive updates in their news feeds. The same goes for any of your favorite businesses, charities, musicians, artists … you name it. And this wasn’t always the case.
That means most of you are probably not seeing most of my Facebook posts on a regular basis.
To keep receiving all posts:
* Head on over to my Facebook page;
* Hover your mouse (cursor/finger/whatever magic appendage you prefer) on the “Like” button near my name;
* In the drop-down menu, please select “Add to interest lists” – and that should do it.
If you’re one of the 10% who see this particular posting, I’d be much obliged if you share it. And I’ll repost it again in a day or two and see if we can get a few more folks on board.
Of course, there’s always the possibility that the Facebook greedheads will take offense and shut me off … but in a way, they already have, haven’t they?
It shouldn’t be this complicated.
(With apologies and thanks to Todd Snider – wicked album cover, man.)
